Our Endangered Planet

Our Endangered Planet by BenKern
According to Mng.org, "A new analysis of satellite data has revealed that temperatures in a critical part of the atmosphere are rising much faster than previously thought, strengthening the scientific consensus that the world is warming at an unnatural rate."

And according to ypte.org, "A United Nations panel has estimated that we need to reduce global fuel use by 60% immediately in order to stabilise the climate. Current commitments by those governments participating in CO2 reduction will only lower global CO2 by 4 - 6%. Although the developed industrialised nations still produce most CO2, the rapidly developing nations of South America and Asia are increasing their CO2 production at a much higher rate, and by 2010 they will overtake the West as the main producers of CO2."

According to me, We need to stop sitting behind our governments, waiting for them to solve everything for us, and actually do something global warming ourselves!(If you actually are then that's great, and I'd love to hear what you're doing, but otherwise...)

I personally feel like I'm acting like an energy nazi in my house, and eliminating any electronic devices that aren't necessary when I notice it wasting our precious energy.

Anyway, I went to British Columbia in Canada with one of my aunts, my mom, and my step-dad,(we stayed 3 nights in Vancouver, and 3 nights in Whistler) and one of the days we were in Whistler we were planing on taking the gondola up to Whistler Mountain, and then to Blackcomb Mountain, sadly, they had it closed until the day we left to go back to our homes, so instead we went over to a trail by Lost Lake, which is very popular with the locals there, so I took this from one of the beaches there. So what you see here, Is Lost Lake, with Whistler Mountain, and Blackcomb Mountain.
